March 2023 General Membership Meeting & Lunch

The luck of the Irish was with the 23 members and guests on 4 March 2023 for the Chapter General Membership meeting at the Abingdon Grill. All enjoyed an event filled with friendship and with a guest speaker who spoke on current events affecting both the military and MOAA.  President Keith Reagan discussed upcoming events to include a fundraiser on 12 April at MaGerks Pub and Grill in Bel Air. Legislative Liaison Bob Brown provided an update on current legislation before the Maryland General Assembly and encouraged all members to contact their legislators to support the veteran/retiree bills.

Guest speaker LtCol Mike Bowers, Active USMC, gave a very informative presentation to include his take on today’s military members and how MOAA can successfully reach out to them. He also discussed the current geopolitical situation concerning China and Russia. Following his presentation, President Reagan presented him with a Chapter Certificate of Appreciation and a donation in his name to the MOAA Scholarship Fund.
