    Wreaths Across America Ceremonies

The Susquehanna Chapter, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), participated in the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at Aberdeen Proving Ground North and Edgewood Area cemeteries on December 16, 2023. Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day the mission of Remember, Honor, and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 3,400 locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. Chapter President Keith Reagan presented the ceremonial wreath representing the Marine Corps service members and their families at the APG North cemetery. Chapter Immediate Past President Cathy Hampton presented a ceremonial wreath at APG Edgewood Area cemetery honoring the Merchant Marines. New to this year's ceremony was the name tag attached to each wreath with the name of a fallen comrade. After placing the wreaths, participants were asked to say the name of the service member. The local ceremony is sponsored and coordinated by the APG Community Spouses Club.
