Members of the Susquehanna Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) recently co-sponsored a special event on May 16 for ten Wounded Warriors from Walter Reed National Military Center. The Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Office has sponsored this event for several years, and the Chapter has provided financial assistance for the past two years.
Members of the APG MWR Trap and Skeet Club provided the shotguns for a purely recreational opportunity for the warriors to enjoy a change of environment and fellowship with other warriors.  Chapter members Bill Whitford, Carl Kilhoffer, and Bill Beddow served as range safety officers and assisted the warriors at each firing point to ensure they had a safe first experience on the range or helped them to improve their current skills.
After a period of shooting both skeet and trap, the warriors dined heartily on homemade and onsite grilled food provided by MWR volunteers, Trap and Skeet Club members, and members of the MOAA Chapter.
